The Sony LTX‑CL is a plastic-cased cleaning tape designed to maintain optimal performance and longevity of LTO Ultrium tape drives. It is TPC‑qualified and suitable for use in both standalone autoloaders and large tape libraries. The cartridge provides approximately 15–50 cleaning passes, depending on the drive model, with a built-in RFID memory chip that tracks usage—once the cartridge reaches its limit, the drive automatically ejects it to prevent overuse. This product helps remove debris from read/write heads and tape path to reduce read/write errors and prolong drive life.
