The Cisco Catalyst C9300X-48HX-EDU is a 48-port multigigabit (mGig) UPOE+ switch from the Catalyst 9300X Series, tailored for K–12 and academic institutions under the EDU (Education) SKU, which provides special pricing and licensing benefits for the education sector. This model supports 1G, 2.5G, 5G, and 10G Ethernet speeds across all ports—making it ideal for high-bandwidth classroom environments, e-learning systems, and Wi-Fi 6/6E connectivity over existing copper cabling.

Every port is UPOE+ capable, offering up to 90W of power per port, enabling direct connection and power delivery to high-consumption devices like interactive panels, HD cameras, access control systems, and smart lighting, all through standard Ethernet cables—simplifying deployment and reducing infrastructure cost.

This switch comes with the Network Essentials license, providing key Layer 2 and Layer 3 features, including VLANs, routing, QoS, ACLs, and basic Cisco DNA Center integration for monitoring, automation, and management.
